Since the first recordings at the beekeeper Maximilian had quite some background noises, I visited several other of his hives in August 2019 and eventually found the quietest place in Mölten. In September 2019, I spent a few days recording the nine bee colonies in Mölten with various pipes, organ pipes and a large balloon. Jochen Unterhofer, a filmmaker, accompanied me one day with his camera and produced the footage I used to edit the film “Mèlissa Recording Session”.
